XiPU - Case project
Plexiglass design of the case for the XiPC. It contains a description of how to prepare and build it yourself. It also contains a list of parts needed to build the case.
1. Case
The XiPC uses plexiglass elements as a frame and to protect sensitive electronic elements on boards. The used plexiglass is 4 mm thick and mounted to PCBs using metal distances and screws. The mounting hole size in the frame and PCBs is M3.
1.1. Bottom cover
The bottom cover protects and stabilizes the XiPU Board. Rubber feet are screwed to it to protect the cover from scratches and provide better stability.
1.2. IO Board cover
The IO Board cover protects the IO Board, and it is used as a stand to mount the LCD Board.
1.3. LCD Board frame support
The LCD Board frame support is a coupler between the IO Board and the LCD Board frame. It held the LCD Board frame in the correct position.
1.4. LCD Board frame
The LCD board frame is an element on which an LCD screen and a speaker are mounted.
